Facebook - National Voter Registration Day
For national voter registration day, Facebook celebrated the day by registering to vote or sharing a voter registration link on Facebook. My team was asked to create animations that arouse people’s interest in the Facebook post for the national voter registration day. The post featured on Facebook from September 20th throughout the National Voter Registration Day.

Approach
The team made style frames and rough animation, and I created the design in After Effects and animated them. There were two things I had to concern. First of all, the animation should be made with only shape layers because it will be rendered to a data format using Keyframes(can deliver scalable, high-quality animations to mobile clients with a highly compressible data file). The limitation was similar to Bodymovin which I used for JSON animations before, so I could approach the process well(basically animating path and transform without any effects). Secondly, it should be a loop animation. The thing was that we couldn’t use time remapping(an effect which can reverse/loop animation easily in After Effects) for the data export. So I made design and set time to make animations start and end at the same point.
