How to Focus
“How to Focus” is the first episode in The Mind, Explained season 2. This episode focuses on the very premise of its title, going from productivity tips to probing the meaning of life. I worked as a lead motion designer for the episode with amazing team members. I created storyboards, designs, and animations for the episode. It is streaming on Netflix since November 2021.

Approach
This 20min episode explores our challenges to focus and solutions with own attention tests, history, related stories from various people. I really enjoyed visualize and animate them. I focused on creating visual and motion that were informative and entertaining.
Process
After understanding topic and tone of the episode with the team, I started making simple idea sketches and storyboards with the episode VO script.
I shared my storyboards and design ideas with my team and developed them with the miniseries concept style. Since the show is based on a voice over narration, I created mock up animations(animatic storyboards) before making styleframes to see if they work with the VO.
After that, I designed styleframes and animated them.
